Day 2, From Bandung to Yogyakarta, Culinary Tour

On our second day in Yogyakarta Malioboro walk in to shop for souvenirs. Various souvenir items, clothing and batik are sold at the right side of the road. Various knick-knacks start from accessories, key chain, various types of clothing available there. And that became the hallmark of which is fitted lined batik shop sidelines, even in a shop window batik available. The price offered was varied start from cheap to expensive.

After shopping at Malioboro we also buy special food of Yogyakarta is Bakpia. Bakpia Jogja or Bakpia Pathok, a typical food of Jogjakarta. Bakpia made ​​of a material that is a mixture of green beans and sugar, which is then wrapped with flour, then baked.




When lunch time we visit a restaurant that sells gudeg Yu Djum. Gudeg is typical Yogyakarta cuisine, consisting of boiled young jackfruit and coconut milk.

After we exhausted of shopping and enjoy the the typical food of Yogya, we finally rested at the hotel.

We had dinner at the tavern "Bami Mr. Pele". Wheat-based noodle is a noodle. The location of the stalls on the side the main square of Keraton . At night we could find a tent that is always crowded culinary connoisseurs, the name Mr. Pele. Variety of processed noodles and fried rice are available in this place. For the noodles themselves we can choose to be fried or digodhog (boiled), can also choose to use the yellow noodles, noodles white or a mixture of both. Just like noodle Mount Wilson, the main secret pleasure of this dish is the use of charcoal for cooking.

We walked over to a historic building is the central post office in Yogyakarta. Post Office building is located in the street Yogyakarta Senopati.
